COLLEGE BOWLING SCHOLARSHIPS AND BOWLING RECRUITING INFORMATION

The National Collegiate Athletic Association, (NCAA), allows each division 1 women’s bowling program 5 scholarships and in division 2, 5 are also available. No athletic scholarships are given in Division III. NCAA Bowling is a women’s only sport.

There are 27 division I and 16 division II schools that offer scholarships for women’s bowling. The NCAA allows each division I women’s bowling program 5 scholarships and in division II, 5 are also available. Bowling is classed as an equivalency sport which means that the coach can divide his scholarships between a larger number of players.

There are over one hundred and eighty club teams currently in operation at NCAA member colleges and it is anticipated that most will change to NCAA status over the next few years.
