Broome Community College is a comprehensive junior college supervised by the State University of New York (SUNY) and sponsored by the County of Broome.

 


The school is a member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Its curriculums and courses are registered by the State Education Department and accredited, where appropriate, by specific career accrediting organizations.

Broome Community College offers:

College history.

1946 Chartered as New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Binghamton
1953 Name changed to Broome County Technical Institute
1956 Name changed to Broome Technical Community College
1957 Campus moved to present location on Upper Front Street, Binghamton, New York
1971 Name changed to Broome Community College

Athletics.

Broome Community College  is one of more than Five-hundred member schools of the National Junior College Athletic Association. For Intercollegiate competition, BCC fields men's teams in 8 varsity sports - basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, cross-country, golf, ice hockey, tennis; As well as women's varsity teams in softball, soccer, basketball, cross-country, tennis and volleyball. The sports program also includes  a large number of intramural activities.
