The college campus is contained on 243 acres with over 331,400 gross square feet of building space, worth an estimated $37.3 million.
NMJC offers associate degrees in applied science, science and arts; in addition, several certificate programs in vocational trade areas. There are over 640 courses of study offered each year through NMJC's two instructional sectors: Business and Technology and Arts and Sciences. The college district within Lea County supports NMJC by a tax levy which provides area students with excellent college instruction and facilities at the most affordable tuition rate in New Mexico. A Lea County in-district student carrying a full academic credit load pays $156 in tuition; and, and out-of-district student pays $360 a semester. The mission of New Mexico Junior College is to provide varied, lifelong learning experiences, at an affordable price. The following sports are offered at New Mexico Junior college: Baseball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Golf, Rodeo, Track and field, and Cross Country .
